About us

 My name is Silje Tungland, and I live together with 

 my husband Atle and my girls, Rebecca and Ingrid in

 Norway's 4 th. laregst town, Stavanger. 

 I started to breed ragdoll cats when I got my

 catteryname aproved from FIFé and NRR in June 2006

Animals have always been a big interest for me, especially cats, and my first cats were domestic cats. In 1997 i got my first cat of certain breed, a rehomed 7 years old siamese-cat called Elvis. I loved him so much, but unfortunately he died in cancer in 2001. I got my interests for ragdolls in 2004 when a workmate got her lovely ragdoll kitten- a blue colourpoint ragdoll, I think I fell in love that moment I met him. I soon decided that i wanted a beautiful cat like this.

Our cats live with us inside our house, and have acsess to every room and a balcony, or they come with us outside our house in harness if the weather allows it;)

Our cats are treated as loving familymembers and with respect.

My foremost aim with my breed is healthy cats with good temperament!!

Spring 2006- The Cat's reproduction by veterinaries Vibeke Rootwelt- Andersen og Giedre Agurkyte, forum RICA hotell, Stavanger 

Fall 2007- G1 Pawacademy

Spring 2008- G2 Pawacademy

19.08.08- Nutrition by Royal Canin NO's representant Camilla Sæther

22-23.11.08- 2 days breeding an genetics course by Ole Amstrup, member of FIFé s breeder and registrationcommity, and orientalbreeder through 25 år.

*10.10.2009- Judges student seminaire - genetics, anathomy, FIFe-rules and ethics by Donatella, Thea Friscovec, Ole Amstrup og Steven Jones

*07-08.11.09- 2 days seminaire by RORAK. Import -Norwegian Food Safety Authority, Nutrition- Camilla Sæther(Royal Canin), How to judge a cat- Judge Steven Jones, The Cat's behaviour and development- Per Hotvedt Nilsen.

I’m also a member of RORAK, Scandinavian RagdollClub, and RAGDOLLKLUBBEN, the cool cat club.
